Painter Chosen to Write New Magazine Department
Beginning with the July 2010 issue, Darin Painter will be writing a 2-page monthly department in

Painter Wins 2 "Azbees"
Printing & Customer Care, a monthly e-newsletter written by Darin Painter for customer service representatives in the printing industry, won a national award in the largest U.S. business publication competition. The 29th annual "Azbees," the contest of the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), drew more than 2,600 entries. Printing & Customer Care won gold, silver or bronze in the E-Newsletter category of Tips/How-To/Service Journalism. The level of the award will be announced Aug. 2 at a banquet in New York City. Also, Painter won a Central/Southeast regional award in ASBPE's competition in the Individual/Company Profile category for "Mimeo on the Move", published in Print Solutions magazine in March 2006. The region includes publications in Washington, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

Painter Selected as "TABBIES" Judge
Trade Association Business Publications International, a group that brings together English-speaking editors of publications worldwide, selected Darin Painter as a final judge in its annual "TABBIES" writing awards competition. A former national gold award winner in the contest (2004), he'll review entries in the Focus/Profile Article and Regular Column categories. Winners will be announced in July. Earlier this year, Painter served as a judge in Writer's Digest magazine's annual Self-Published Book Awards competition.
